About

My favorite part of working with words is that it is both an art and a science: There are rules of language and conventions to follow, but there are plenty of times when throwing your usage guide right out the window is the best choice for your essay, article, novel, or other text.

I’m well-versed in ensuring accuracy and consistency through line editing and proofreading, and will help you with the difference between an en dash and an em dash or between “complimentary” and “complementary.” But I’ll also help you decide whether following the advice of Strunk and White is lending clarity to your writing or hindering its flow.

My experience also includes formatting, branding, and résumés, and I’ve worked with a variety of style guides (including AP, AMA, MLA, CMOS 16 and 17, and custom house rules).
